\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tArash Tanhai was born in Tehran in 1360. Since his childhood, he was a frequent customer of the libraries of the intellectual development center for children and teenagers; There was a peaceful atmosphere where he saw the best children’s books and illustrations. At the age of fourteen, after participating in a group painting exhibition, despite his family’s opposition, he entered Malik Ashtar Academy and studied graphics. After finishing the conservatory, he founded the Passage art group with several of his friends, he experienced holding several painting and graphic exhibitions in that group; Continuing his studies in graphic design introduced him to another world; Familiar with the book Top Graphic Design, Siselevich, Lenitza and Glazer, he was eighteen years old and fascinated by Lenitza’s theater posters and aspired to design theater posters. After his military service, he entered the Faculty of Fine Arts – the oldest art faculty in Iran – and there, contrary to expectations, he studied theater instead of graphics, in order to get closer to the world of theater posters. In the Faculty of Fine Arts, he came close to his goal of designing most of the posters of the student and independent theaters of the students of this faculty and other faculties. He was 23 years old when he started his graphic workshop on the second floor of an old house with one of his friends. The order of posters for cultural events, commemorations, exhibitions, etc. increased. The artistic management of Fajr Theater Festival and the exhibition of 25 years of theater posters led him to more important and bigger commissions. Designing posters for exhibitions of different countries in Tehran, France, Japan and England. Designing posters for cultural events of Tehran Municipality, Art Academy, Painters Association made him a young and well-known designer of his generation. In addition to these, writing articles and notes about Iranian graphics and introducing pioneering designers in Tindis magazine and teaching graphics in conservatories and universities, writing books about Morteza Mamiz and Kamran Katouzian, two of Iran’s great graphic masters; His name spread more on languages; In 2011, Arash Taneh published all of his posters and articles in a book titled “Thirty Years of Solitude” and at the same time held an exhibition of his posters at Iran’s Artists’ House. In addition to these, he experienced several exhibitions on the subject of Iranian cultural figures such as Forough Farrokhzad, Gholamreza Takhti and Samad Behrangi; He is currently engaged in graphic design, writing articles and books and holding his favorite cultural events in his personal studio in Tehran. In 2013, Kianoosh Gharibpour said about Tani: “Arash Tani, as one of the most important figures of the fifth generation of Iranian graphic designers, has all the characteristics of the same generation, except for that gimmick. He, like the others, tries to be unique, he is also a critic of the generation before him, and with the same excitement and nervousness of his generation, he relies on his own method to heal the wounds of the revolution of the fourth generation. But what makes Arash Tani more than all of them Neslan distinguishes himself, his boundless originality is in the spirit of research and going deep into history. Now that I am writing this note, Arash is thirty years old.” Ebrahim Haghighi says in a part of the book Thirty Years of Solitude, “Por tries to find, compile, analyze and record. If he gets a chance, he will publish it. He has been able to test and recognize himself in a short time, because he is a hard worker. Arash is conceptual in his poster design work, but in recent works he has shown that he is on the way to finding a personal form and a palette of few colors and wants to reach a summary (minimal narrative).”\r\n Ghobad Shiva believes about loneliness: “He has a diploma in graphic arts and I learned about the subject of one of his posters. He was also a theater student and maybe in his twenties he managed art and also lectures, teaching and a series of other activities in the field of theater and the art of painting and graphics, which is due to this young man who was able to reach the age of 100 overnight.”\r\n
