Ibrahim Haghigi
Professor Ebrahim Haghighi is one of the greats in the field of contemporary graphic art in Iran, who was born on Mehr 13, 1328 in Tehran, to a teacher mother and a photographer father. His education is a mathematics diploma in 1346, a master’s degree in architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University. He started his professional activities in the field of graphics in 1348.
Haghighi was a member of the Children’s Illustrators Association, the International Association of Graphic Designers (AGI), the Graphic Designers Guild of Iran, the Documentary Film Makers Association of Iran, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Graphic Designers Guild of Iran until 2013 and was the secretary of the 8th Tehran Poster Biennial in 2013.
He worked and made several 8mm films in Tehran’s Azad cinema and collaborated in the making of the film “The one who imagined and the one who did not act”.
Haghigi’s cooperation with the graphics department of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents and the production of 35mm documentary films “Third Summer Festival”, “Teacher of All Children of Ill”, “Teacher’s Day” and “Social Workers” can also be considered as one of Haghighi’s fruitful career.
The establishment of the Iranian Graphic Designers Association together with Mr. Mamiz, Shiva and Mirza Alikhani is one of his other activities.
He is also a lecturer in graphic arts at Tehran University, Farabi University, Art University, Higher School of Television and Cinema, Azad University (BA and MA) since 1358.
In addition to collaborating with many magazines such as Tashah, Adina, Dunya Sokhn, and authoring books such as Seymeha, Barun, and Haft Rang, he has also designed film sets and series such as Sarbadaran, Sultan, and Shaaban, and created titles for movies and television series. The titles of the films “Shahr Moushha”, “Nargis”, “I have a song of fifteen years”, “Women’s Prison” and TV series “The 10th Night”, “Kief Inglis”, “Memorable Days” and. are among his creations.
In 1385, Mr. Haqiqi published a collection of his theater posters that he had designed between 1348 and 1384 in the form of a book.
