Cyrus Mina Yacoub

He was born in 1356 in Tehran, graduated from Sorbonne University in the field of philosophy of art. There are many articles from him in the review of works of art and contemporary literature. Mina Baqoob’s sharp and reckless pen distinguishes her from other critics of her generation. One of his distinctive features is his brave and critical spirit even when facing the works of famous artists. One of the most important reasons for Mina Yaqoub’s fame is her handling of issues in a way that seems to have looked at the issue of criticism from an artist’s point of view. Contrary to all the writings of the critics, he presents his thoughts not only in the form of speech, but sometimes in the form of performance, installation and metaphor of the discussed works.

Korosh Mina Yaqoub initially studied architecture at Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, but after getting to know some currents of modern art philosophy, he dropped out and went to Sorbonne University to study dramatic arts. His knowledge of Iranian legends encouraged him to continue his studies in the field of philosophy of art, which led to his obtaining a doctorate degree.
